From Diagnosis to Recovery:
Funding the Fight Against Cancer


Since 2018, $3,206,081 has been raised by the McDaniels Golf Classic and Gala for the McDaniels-Pucci Cancer Fund. This fund provides life-saving cancer screenings for those in need, enhancements in technology, vital support programs, and services for patients and caregivers at Lexington Medical Cancer Center.


 
 
 
 

BILL MCDANIELS

Bill McDaniels, president, owner and founder of McDaniels Automotive Group, is the presenting sponsor of the McDaniels Golf Classic. Bill has worked in the retail automotive industry since 1969. He is also a licensed general contractor in South Carolina and North Carolina.

An avid community philanthropist, Bill has raised more than $8.2 million for the community through his support of charitable events, including the McDaniels Golf Classic. Bill has received notable honors for his community service, including Fundraiser of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Order of the Palmetto by Governor Nikki Haley and the Silver Leaf Award by Lieutenant Governor Andre Bauer.

Bill also published his autobiography, An Unforgettable Ride in 2020. In it, he shares how he overcame a childhood of extreme dysfunction and poverty and paved his own way to becoming one of South Carolina’s most influential entrepreneurs and philanthropists.

“My father died at 59 from cancer. This is something no one is immune to and is a cause everyone should get behind.”

 
 

SUZANNE PUCCI

Suzanne Pucci chairs the McDaniels Golf Classic and Gala. She has held this position for 15 years and done so with great passion and dedication. Her leadership has led this event to great success, with it becoming a favorite among Midlands residents and businesses and resulting in significant impacts on the lives of cancer patients at Lexington Medical Center.

Suzanne opened and successfully grew the Stanley Steemer franchise and brand in Columbia for more than 20 years. She focuses on supporting her community, having served on the Lexington Medical Center Foundation Board of Directors and the South Carolina Small Business Regulatory Review Committee. Suzanne also currently serves as a member of the South Carolina Supreme Court Commission on Lawyer Conduct and is involved in several other charitable initiatives, including Pawmetto Lifeline and Leeza’s Care Connection.

“Very few of us have not been affected by cancer in some way. It is so rewarding to support cancer patients in our local communities who need us the most during this often-difficult journey.”
